Our recipes are inspired by the bustling street markets, floating kitchens, and home-style cooking found throughout Thailand and Laos. From fragrant curries and wok-fried noodles to tangy papaya salad, sticky rice, and herb-forward Lao dishes, our food reflects the harmony of both cultures: bright, fresh, and deeply flavorful.
Every dish is made fresh to order using quality ingredients, authentic seasonings, and traditional techniques. This is why at Mekvilai, good food takes time. Nothing is rushed, pre-made, or mass-produced. We prepare it the way our family has always prepared food, with intention and pride.
